Be Like Jesus Service Event

2018 BE LIKE JESUS 23 Hour Youth Service Event COMING APRIL 13-14!

The Be Like Jesus 23 Hour Servant Event is an opportunity for 3rd through 8th grade youth to be a servant like Jesus.  On this weekend,  over 100 3rd – 8th graders from ELCA churches in the St. Louis area will be right here at Good Shepherd.  Their assignment:   reflect Jesus’ love by serving others! Youth will participate in a variety of service projects that include making fleece blankets, collecting food for the food pantry, yard work, purchasing items at local stores for community organizations, and much more.  Projects will be held right here at Good Shepherd or in the surrounding communities.  Service projects will benefit the participating congregations, community and global organizations.  The event will also include great music, fun activities, a chance to meet new friends, and an opportunity to grow closer in faith to Be Like Jesus!

Please contact Becky Howard at 636-391-6685 if you would like to be a part of this amazing event.   We will need many adult volunteers to help with Saturday meals and projects!  (Shifts will be broken up into two-hour blocks of time)
