Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a vibrant, youth-focused church in Manchester, Missouri, seeks a full-time Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry. A suburban church that attracts congregants from the greater St. Louis region with a heart for mission and service, Good Shepherd seeks a candidate called to share their love of Christ with youth and their families. We hope to expand this position in the near future, adding another ½ time staff person to either focus on 6th-8thGrade ministry, or partner with the CYF Director and assist across all children, youth and family ministries. We also hope to create a Technology/Audio-Visual position and would be open to various configurations of staffing if candidates interested and gifted in a combination of these ministry areas.

Building Blocks Preschool seeks a friendly, positive two-year-old teacher to join our preschool staff!

We provide a child-centered, play-based learning environment in a semi-structured, Christian setting where each child’s excitement for exploring, discovering and learning are nurtured. Along with their co-teacher, our desired candidate enjoys providing opportunities for children to grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively while acknowledging students’ various learning modalities and personalities. He or she enjoys collaborating with the family unit and Building Blocks Preschool Staff to build a strong foundation for life-long learning.

Building Blocks operates on an academic school year from late August through Mid-May. This is a salaried 17.5 hours per week teaching position; with more opportunities if desired. Teaching hours are 8:30am – 12:00pm. A few additional and compensated hours are required outside of these work hours throughout the year for staff meetings and three family events. Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field is desired. Lunch Bunch Teacher Position – 11:30am to 1:30pm – Flexible Monday – Friday Schedule

Building Blocks Preschool seeks a friendly, positive Lunch Bunch teacher to join our preschool staff. We provide a play-based learning environment in a semi-structured setting. Our lunch bunch teacher encourages social conversations with peers and self-help skills during and after lunch. In addition, our candidate will oversee children’s safety during open free play as well as read a short story to our preschoolers.

Substitute Teacher 8:30am-12:00pm or 11:30am to 1:30pm

Building Blocks Preschool seeks a friendly, positive substitute teacher to join our preschool staff. Our desired substitute teacher enjoys supporting the lead teacher, providing an environment for children to grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively while acknowledging students’ various learning modalities and personalities.
