Sunday School is back! This time in your living room! Gather as a family each weekend to dive deeper into the lesson for the week. Sparkhouse has offered fun 13 minute videos with music, activities, crafts, prayer, and story telling for the whole family to participate in until June 7th. Sparkhouse Family Sunday School

Our regular Sunday School program is out for the summer, but faith formation at home never takes a vacation! Don’t forget to Share, Read, Talk, Pray, and Bless each day! Sunday School will be back in September.

Good Shepherd’s Sunday morning children’s programming meets from 9:30-10:40 each week from September through May.  We love to have our young people share their voices and talent in worship and are blessed when our various age groups share a song, a reading or skit during worship (which they do two or three times during the school year)!

Little Lambs Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten– (starting at age 2 as of August 1st) classes begin and end in  age-level classrooms on the upper level of our church building.

K-5th Grades- Our elementary-age friends meet on the lower level and enjoy SPARK’s rotation curriculum.  Each week our young people look at a bible story in a different way featuring Bible Skills & Games, Science & Cooking, and Movies & Art.  Music and FUN are part of the Sunday morning program as well!

Summer Children’s Church is offered from June 9 through July 28th during the 9:30 worship service.   Children pre-K through elementary ages will attend worship with their parents then, after a Children’s Message and before the sermon, we will head to our classroom for our own faith discussion and fun before rejoining families just prior to communion.

Through these age-level milestone events, we partner with parents to learn, grow and then to CELEBRATE these events.  Following is a listing of the Faith Milestone Events:

LITTLE LAMBS PRESCHOOL FIRST BIBLE FAITH MILESTONE – As our youngest learners begin Sunday School, they receive a Children’s Preschool Bible from their parents as a  reminder of the baptismal promise of “putting God’s word into the hands of their children.”

FIRST GRADE FIRST COMMUNION FAITH MILESTONE – Our first grade families will meet for three consecutive Wednesday evenings in January to learn more about this sacrament that is so important to our faith.

SECOND GRADE SMALL CATECHISM / LORD’S PRAYER FAITH MILESTONE – Our second graders and their parents are introduced to the Small Cat (children’s version of Luther’s Small Catechism) with a special emphasis on The Lord’s Prayer.

THIRD GRADE “BOOKS OF THE BIBLE” FAITH MILESTONE – Each November, our third grade families spend three Sunday morning classes walking through the bible, learning a key verse from each book.

Wednesdays | 5:30 – 7:30 pm

The aim of our  SHiNE faith, fun and fellowship program is to help our youth develop and nurture positive relationships with God, peers and adults. At SHiNE, we strive to help our young people understand that they are awesome children of God with unique gifts to share.  SHiNE meets in two 8- week sessions.  The first session for the 2019-20 school year will begin on September 25th and end on November 20.  The second session will begin on January 8 and end on February 26, 2020.

Our evenings at SHiNE begin with energetic large group music gathering in the choir room from 5:30- 6. They join our middle school RiSE group for a  family-style meal in the gym from 6-6:35. After dinner, the youth break into age level groups for bible discussion and fun from 6:40-7:30.   An optional pre-music rec time is offered in the gym from 5-5:30.
