Mark 10:35-45
Lead Like Jesus - Week 4

This week’s sermon focused on the call of Jesus to true greatness through servanthood and humility. Drawing from Mark 10:35–45, we see how James and John sought positions of honor and recognition, yet Jesus reframed greatness: “Whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant.” Greatness is not measured by titles or accomplishments, but by humble service modeled after Jesus, who came “not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We are called to follow Jesus by serving others in daily life. Service fosters unity, builds relationships, and models Christ’s life to the world. Even the smallest acts—listening, encouraging, helping a neighbor—carry the fragrance of Christ and reflect God’s love. True greatness is found not in status but in faithfulness, humility, and service.
