Today’s leadership lunch focused on discipleship. I felt grateful to sit in that room, listening, and remembering that discipleship isn’t just something we talk about or teach. It’s something we actually have to live out, day by day.
It isn’t some church program or checklist. Discipleship is a way of living. Really, it’s just helping someone take their next step with Christ, right where you are.
In church, we model it by real relationships, learning the word, studying with each other, listening to each other.
At work, you see it in the way someone’s character, consistency, and quiet acts of care speak even louder than their words.
At home, it comes through prayer, through grace, and honest conversations, the kind where you risk being truthful.
And with friends, it’s all about being intentional: being real, listening well, encouraging each other, always finding ways to point one another back to Jesus.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. Just walk alongside someone. Live what you believe. Tell the story of what God is doing in your life.
You don’t need to have every answer. You just need a willing heart.
Discipleship was never meant only for those in ministry, it was designed for all of us, to move, and to move through us.
Question…
Who’s becoming stronger in their faith because of you?
Are you just believing… or are you also building others up?
What does intentional discipleship look like through your life today?
