VISIT FROM RUSSIAN COMPANION SYNOD – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

One of the great things about being Church together through the ELCA is that we get to catch a glimpse of what God is doing all around the world. Every synod within the ELCA has global companion synods, fellow Lutheran church bodies spanning the globe!

Good Shepherd is a part of the Central State Synod, and we partner with our Lutheran siblings in both Papua New Guinea and Russia. This fall, we are blessed to have three leaders from our Russian companion synod visit us.

A delegation representing our Companion Synod in Russia, the Synod of the Urals, Siberia and the Far East (ELSUSFE) will be visiting the Synod from September 18th until October 4th. The delegation is made up of Bishop Alexander Scheiermann, Missionary Bradn Buerkle and Pastor Waldemar Rausch.

Bishop Scheiermann, Missionary Buerkle and Pastor Rausch will join us on Saturday, September 26 during our 5:00 Worship. As a part of our worship that evening, they will share their stories with us.

We are grateful for their ministry and blessed to be able to welcome them to Good Shepherd this fall!
